Caregiving

Providing care for the people we love means so much more than providing a "sitter" or a housekeeper.  It means developing a relationship between caregiver and client that can give our clients someone to trust, rely upon, and whom our clients know will always treat them with respect, dignity and compassion. Caregiving requires not just a special heart, but a special attention to the rules and policies that keep our clients safe, healthy, and engaged in the world.  Timesavers is different from any other caregiving service you will find, and we would love to show you those differences.

Companion Care and Enhanced Independence

If you are looking for someone who will make sure your mom or dad's appointments and social engagements are made and kept, who will see to providing healthy meals and a clean home, who will make a concentrated effort to consistently keep them happy and engaged in life, look no further than Timesavers.

Long Term Caregiving

Each member of our care team is experienced in assisting with the activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, transferring, and ambulation.  With no weekly minimum hours, Timesavers knows that even long-term caregiving needs can require just a few hours a day.  If round the clock care is what you need, however, we are equally prepared to provide the best service you will find.

Short Term and Post-hospitalization

Coming home from the hospital after surgery, or home from a rehabilitation facility after an injury can be daunting.  This can be the time when a relapse is most likely if appropriate home assistance is not in place.  Timesavers is not concerned with long-term punitive contracts, but is concerned with providing the amount of assistance you need in your particular circumstance.  So regardless of age, we are prepared to assist with driving to physical therapy and follow-up appointments, preparing meals and doing light housekeeping, helping with bathing and grooming, or whatever other needs might arise during this recuperative period.

Respite Care

Family caregivers have the toughest job around, and a break every now and then is a necessity.  Timesavers is here to provide you with the ability to go to a ballgame and not worry about how your mom or dad is being cared for, to go to Nashville for the day and be able to relax, or to take care of your own appointments and health without feeling guilty.  With consistency as one of our primary goals, if what you need is one day a month of respite, we will do everything possible to make sure the same team member is in place for you each time.  Taking care of yourself is an essential part of being a family caregiver.

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care

Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia are increasingly a presence in our families and our lives. The role of a family caregiver in this situation is even more demanding than that of the traditional caregiver. Timesavers is dedicated to providing education and training to our caregivers and to our clients who are providing care under these circumstances. We have the knowledge and experience to assist families around the clock or just a few hours a week, focusing on consistency of caregiver; engagement in activity and mental stimulation to the degree appropriate in each particular case; patience and compassion for the fact that the illness impacts the entire family; and going above and beyond in order to make everyone’s lives a little easier each day.
