The February Daughterhood Circle Meeting will be hosted on February 16th: National Caregivers Day! This meeting will be a great time to practice self-care and have lunch with others in your shoes! Our guest speaker will be Joanie Hagan.

Joanie Hagan is the youngest of 14 children and was raised on a farm in Owensboro, KY. Throughout her life she has always had a soft spot for the elderly. She has worked part-time in non-medical elderly care as an independent caregiver for over 21 years. This passion for the elderly ultimately led her to start a non-medical elderly caregiving business. Joanie’s business, named HonorCare, was inspired by the fourth commandment in the Bible, where we are commanded to, “Honor your father and mother”. She has since closed her day-to-day business operation. However, this command, which has been evidenced throughout her life, not only relates to her own parents but, with any parent that she has the privilege to interact with.

When Joanie is not spending time with her husband of 32 years, her 5 children, and 3 grandchildren, she can still be found serving as a part-time caregiver to the elderly that she has always cherished.
